SWABI:
A 28-year-old man was shot dead over an alleged longstanding family dispute in Swabi, while police also recovered the throat-slit body of a taxi driver from a parking area at the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway service area in a separate incident.
According to an FIR registered at Lahore Police Station, complainant Baogy, a resident of Kharkai, Matta, Swat, currently living in Gujrano Dhok Manki, said he was on his way to offer evening prayers at a local mosque with his sons, Farman Ali and Waheedullah, when they were intercepted near Lahore Lar. He alleged that two suspects, Sajjad and Alam Gul, opened fire on Farman Ali with automatic weapons, killing the 28-year-old on the spot. Police said the motive behind the murder was an earlier dispute involving women.
