KOHAT:
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday inaugurated a Women Business Development Centre in Kohat, built at a cost of Rs338.053 million, to promote women’s entrepreneurship, enhance vocational skills and expand their participation in the provincial economy.
The centre was inaugurated by Provincial Minister for Local Government and Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi, accompanied by Provincial Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan. The facility has been established to provide women with vocational, business and digital skills training, enabling them to launch enterprises, improve their livelihoods and access sustainable income-generating opportunities.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by District Development Advisory Committee Chairman and MPA Daud Shah Afridi, Local Government Secretary Zafarul Islam, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat Chief Executive Saad Qureshi, Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Rasheed Ahmad Paracha, senior government officials, business representatives, local elders and a large number of women.
