Glamorous event sees array of celebrities walk the ramp to showcase extensive collection of wedding, festive wear

A glamorous bridal fashion show in Karachi brought together an array of Pakistani actors, television personalities, models and social media stars, turning the runway into a celebration of traditional bridal fashion with a contemporary touch.
Held at the Expo Centre Karachi as part of a two-day bridal festive exhibition on August 27 and 28, the event featured an extensive showcase of wedding and festive wear, while a number of familiar faces from the entertainment industry walked the ramp in heavily embellished ensembles.
Among the prominent celebrities seen on the runway were actors Alizeh Shah, Javeria Saud, Sunita Marshall, Hina Dilpazeer, Saba Faisal, Sadia Imam, Maya Khan, Rabeeca Khan, Hussain Tareen, Srha Asghar, Namra Shahid and Nadia Hussain, while other models and social media personalities also took part in the presentation.
One of the biggest highlights of the evening was Alizeh Shah, who appeared as a showstopper and immediately became one of the most talked-about faces on the runway. She was seen in a striking, vibrant yellow, heavily embellished ensemble featuring intricate floral detailing that gave the outfit a bright, festive character.
Saba Faisal, who also walked the runway, spoke to The Express Tribune about her experience at the fashion show and praised the outfits presented during the event.
“The experience was very good. The dresses that were given to us and presented on the ramp were beautiful, and the embroidery was especially impressive. It was a very good experience overall. People love us, and that is their greatness and their love. We hope this love continues to stay with us in the same way,” Faisal said.
Nadia Hussain was another prominent celebrity on the runway. Speaking about the event, she described her experience as thoroughly enjoyable, saying she had a very good time walking the ramp and being part of the bridal fashion presentation.
The event also marked a special runway appearance for Rabeeca Khan and Hussain Tareen, who walked the ramp together following their marriage. Both had previously appeared on fashion runways, but described this particular appearance as a unique experience.
Rabeeca Khan said that although they had both walked the ramp before, appearing together on this occasion was “extremely unique” for them. The couple praised the outfits they were given and said the overall styling and presentation made their runway appearance a particularly pleasant experience.
Javeria Saud was another major attraction, with her appearance bringing a playful and energetic presence to the runway.
Sunita Marshall also appeared on the runway, adding a sophisticated fashion presence to the celebrity lineup, while Hina Dilpazeer, Sadia Imam and Maya Khan represented some of the more established faces of Pakistani television and entertainment.
The runway was not limited to female celebrities. Hussain Tareen and Subhan Awan were also among the male personalities who walked during the presentation, with Tareen appearing alongside Rabeeca Khan, while Subhan Awan walked with Washma Fatima.
Child star Aayat Arif was also part of the ongoing bridal show, walking the ramp in an individual appearance.
The fashion followed a distinctly festive Pakistani aesthetic, with the collection dominated by rich colours, elaborate embroidery, sparkling embellishments, traditional motifs and dupattas. Bridal silhouettes ranged from heavily worked lehengas and long shirts to contemporary festive cuts, while jewellery, dramatic makeup and elaborate hairstyles completed the looks.
The colour palette moved between vibrant and traditional wedding shades, with yellow, red, gold and other richly saturated tones standing out among the looks. Alizeh Shah’s yellow ensemble provided one of the brightest moments of the show, while several of the heavier bridal looks leaned towards metallic embellishment and deep festive colours.
The detailing remained central to the overall visual presentation. Sequins, floral embroidery, shimmering work and ornate borders were used to create the grandeur associated with Pakistani wedding couture. The show also moved beyond the conventional bridal red, incorporating brighter festive shades and contemporary styling.
