Advisor to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, has declared that the province boasts the highest police budget allocation in Pakistan, underscoring the provincial government’s strong commitment to security despite financial constraints.
Speaking to the media, Muzzammil Aslam revealed that the K-P police budget constitutes 8.7 per cent of the provincial budget, significantly higher than Punjab’s 3.9 per cent. He pointed out that although K-P population is roughly one-third that of Punjab and half that of Sindh, the province has allocated Rs170 billion for security in the current fiscal year.
