Large quantity of modern weapons, ammunition also recovered from possession of slain terrorists
Four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, state-run Radio Pakistan said, citing security sources, on Monday.
The operation was carried out in the Aphan Koh area of Prom Paroom in Panjgur, on intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists belonging to the Fitna al-Hindustan. The operation was conducted as part of the security forces’ ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 against terrorists in Balochistan, Radio Pakistan said.
Security forces exchanged heavy fire with the terrorists during the operation, resulting in the deaths of four of them, the sources said. A large quantity of modern weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists, the security sources added.
The sources said security operations against terrorists were continuing in the area and would continue until the last terrorist was eliminated.
The federal government last year officially designated all terrorist groups operating in Balochistan as Fitna al-Hindustan, accusing India of sponsoring a proxy war through the outfits.
The high-tempo intelligence-driven operations are being conducted as part of the ongoing “Radd-ul-Fitna-3” campaign, which the military’s media wing described as a counterterrorism operation aimed at eliminating Indian proxies.
The development came a day after security forces killed seven terrorists affiliated with the Fitna al-Hindustan in two separate operations in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, according to security sources.

Five terrorists were killed during an operation in the Fatah Ali area of Panjgur, while two more were killed in a separate operation in the Dhadar area of Kachhi district, the sources said.
Several terrorists were also reported to have been injured during the operation, the sources said.
Terrorism is a growing problem for Pakistan, with the number of attacks rising every year since 2022, according to Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED), a global monitoring organisation. Data from ACLED shows attacks in Pakistan rose nearly fourfold to 2,425 in 2025 from 658 in 2022.
Although Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has borne the brunt of terrorism, Balochistan has also remained a major target of Indian proxies, which often target civilians and military installations in the province.
Security forces have continued operations across the provinces against what the state describes as Indian-sponsored terrorists and their proxies, but despite these efforts, the groups have continued to target civilian and defence installations.
