Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Science, Technology and Information Technology Shafi Jan has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership will undertake a five-day visit to Sindh from September 3 to 7 as part of its nationwide Street Movement, aimed at expanding the party’s public outreach campaign.
Speaking after a consultative meeting, Shafi Jan said the schedule and future course of action for Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s visit to Sindh, along with other senior party leaders, had been finalized.
The meeting was attended by K-P Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Secretary General Salman Akram Raja and other central and provincial leaders.
According to Shafi Jan, the Sindh campaign will begin on September 3 from Kamo Shaheed in Ghotki. Street Movement activities will continue at various locations across the province from September 3 to 6, during which Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other party leaders will address public gatherings.
He said the Sindh leg of the Street Movement would culminate in Karachi on September 6. On September 7, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and the central party leadership will address a Lawyers’ Convention at the Sindh High Court Bar, being organized by the Sindh High Court Bar Association.
Shafi Jan said that after completing the Sindh campaign, the party leadership would move towards Punjab and Balochistan to further expand its nationwide public outreach and political movement.
He said that, acting on the directions of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, Chief Minister had successfully led the Street Movement in K-P.
