Gold prices rose sharply in the local market on Thursday, increasing by Rs13,700 per tola, in line with a rise in international bullion prices.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), in the local market, the price of gold increased by Rs13,700 per tola to Rs471,936. The price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs11,746 to Rs404,609.
Meanwhile, the price of silver in the local market increased by Rs317 per tola to Rs7,169. The price of 10 grams of silver also increased by Rs317 to Rs6,146.

On Wednesday, Gold prices in the local market declined even as international rates surged more than 3% to their highest level in over two and a half months. According to the APGJSA, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs3,700 to Rs458,236. Similarly, 10-gram gold was available at Rs392,863 after a drop of Rs3,172.
On Tuesday, according to the APGJSA, gold prices remained steady in the local market at Rs461,936 per tola.
On Monday, in the local market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs461,936 after a gain of Rs2,000, according to the APGJSA. 10 grams of gold were sold at Rs396,035, up Rs1,715.
