Justice Arbab asked what progress had been made on the compensation announced by the Prime Minister for the victims

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday directed the Ministry of Interior to convene a meeting of the committee constituted to consider compensation for the victims of the suicide attack on the Islamabad Judicial Complex.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the direction while hearing a petition filed by Advocate Asif Gujjar. The interior ministry’s Joint Secretary for ICT Affairs appeared before the court.
Justice Arbab asked what progress had been made on the compensation announced by the Prime Minister for the victims.
The Joint Secretary informed the court that compensation had already been paid to the victims of the Tarlai Imambargah attack, while a committee had also been constituted to consider compensation for those affected by the incident.
