Investigators probing the murder of Mir Raza have identified 10 people who allegedly lent him more than Rs50 million and have decided to question them as part of a new line of inquiry, sources said.
According to investigative sources, Mir Raza had borrowed money from all 10 individuals whose names have been included in the list prepared by the investigators. Express News has obtained details of the lenders and the amounts allegedly owed to them.
Sources said Mir Raza had reportedly borrowed more than Rs17.5 million from a man identified as Abid, while another person, identified as Moni, had lent him Rs500,000.
Investigators have compiled details showing that the total amount allegedly borrowed from the 10 individuals exceeded Rs50 million. The people on the list will now be called in for questioning as investigators examine the financial aspects of the case.
No NCCIA complaint against Raza before July 28
No complaint, application or inquiry against Mir Raza Ali was pending with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) before July 28, 2026, according to sources familiar with the agency’s records.
The sources said the NCCIA had no record of any case or inquiry against Mir Raza Ali before the said date.
According to the sources, police had approached the NCCIA to obtain information about Ali as part of the ongoing investigation into his murder.
The police asked the NCCIA to provide details of any application, complaint, inquiry or other matter concerning Ali up to July 28, provided such a matter fell within the agency’s jurisdiction.
Sources said the NCCIA’s records showed that no complaint, application or inquiry against Ali had been pending before July 28.
The police letter seeking information about Ali was received by the NCCIA on August 11, the sources said.
The request was made in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder case registered at Ferozabad police station.

The ride-hailing driver who took Mir Raza from his home to Gulistan-e-Johar shortly before his murder recounted the journey said Ali personally directed him through a series of routes, from Khalid bin Waleed Road and Tariq Road to Bahadurabad, Stadium Road and Gulistan-e-Johar, before he was dropped off outside a bank, in a video message surfacing on Wednesday. Driver Ehsanullah said Raza asked if there was a speaker or Bluetooth in the car. He connected his mobile and put on music.”
