Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti announced on Tuesday criticised a small extremist element attempting to push the Baloch people into a futile conflict through violence. He stressed that destroying infrastructure, bridges, and commercial transport directly harms the livelihood and progress of the local Baloch community.
He said that the Balochistan government will host an international calligraphy exhibition titled “Bayan-ul-Marsoos” in Quetta on May 910 next year, featuring renowned artists and calligraphers from Turkey and across the Islamic world.
Speaking at the inauguration of the “Rasool-e-Rahmat (PBUH)” calligraphy exhibition, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized that hosting high-profile events in Augustaround Pakistan’s Independence Daysends a strong signal to the world regarding Balochistan’s capability, peaceful nature, and deep reverence for Islamic art. The upcoming two-to-three-day international event aims to present Quetta as a vibrant hub of arts and peace.
Addressing broader national and geopolitical matters, Bugti highlighted Pakistan’s rising global stature, noting that recent defense collaboration among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey reflects a shifting international landscape. He clarified that this defense partnership is strictly defensive in nature, aimed at safeguarding peace rather than committing aggression.
“No power in the world can halt the journey of Pakistan’s decisive victory,” Bugti stated, lauding the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and Chief of Army Staff General Asif Munir.
